oh boy…

So I’m listening to the One’s acceptance speech…

And this is what keeps running through the back of my mind…

P.S. What’s he so angry about? He just won? Why can’t he smile?

  1. Brother Don,

Here is what kept running through my mind:

“We who are about to die, Salute you…”

    Pray for us!

  2. Hi Len

As I read the news and analysis this morning, I think it is not nearly as bad as it could have been. But I also think that it is God’s will! Why else did the economic mess hit when it did?

Perhaps this will cause the Christian church to reflect on its sins, repent, and bring about revival.

    Let’s pray to that end.

  3. Dan Delavan says

I have had to be working on my God-centered, Biblical response. Here is what I have come up with so far:
    1. I will pray. I Tim. 2:1-4
    2. I will submit. (God is not surprised and is not having an emergency meeting in Heaven right now) Rom. 13:1-7
    3. If there comes a necessary choice, I will obey God rather than man. Acts 5:29
    4. I will reflect grace in attitudes and speech. Eph. 4:29-32
    5. I will teach and live out the Bible as the guidebook for life. II Tim. 4:2
    6. I will focus on a spiritual, not physical Savior. Ps. 20:7

I am sure there is more I can add as time goes on, but this is where God has brought me these last couple days.

  4. Hey, Dan, good to hear from you.

Amen. You know, the apostle’s turned the Empire upside down without a Bill of Rights.

I’m not worried about the end game. (Of course, having a low pain threshold, I am a little squeamish about the “just before the end” game.)

But an excellent and godly list. Thanks, brother.

    Maranatha!

  5. Dan,
Have you come up with more Biblical responses yet to the election? I liked the first six and I am eagerly awaiting more!
