I should assume that he has the best of motives in pointing this out to you. I would wonder though if Dave actually sees it as a problem or if he is just attempting to help you with inconsistencies. I think it is good to help people with inconsistencies, but that would mean that we’re all open to have them pointed out, including myself. I look forward to your explanation. I know you have had a lot going on, so there is no time expectation from me.

Please see my last post on the main page for a bit of an obituary.

I was genuinely curious about your thinking given some of the other things you’ve posted on.

Thanks for the question Dave.

In deciding on this particular event, I had some misgivings and am still not certain we made the right decision. The criteria that swayed me was that CMI is a specifically focused ministry, for the purpose of calling Christians back to orthodoxy, rather than for promoting ecumenical efforts or other compromises. However, I am bothered by the breadth of churches they are willing to go in, and for various reasons, I don’t think I would have these folks back. Count it as a learning experience.

And, FWIW, I have been concentrating on the care of this elderly pastor I mentioned. We just got back from the hospital where his dear wife passed on to glory about one hour ago. I am really not going to pursue our debates tonight!

Can you help me understand your thinking on separation as it relates to this Creation seminar? A quick look through the calendar for this ministry finds them in a very wide variety of churches and ministries–Lutheran churches, Moody Bible Institute, and (seemingly) beyond.

I guess I had understood you to previously have argued against this kind of thing, so I must not be understanding your position very well.
