That would be H. Richard Niebuhr in Christ & Culture<\/em>, a book I do not recommend anyone read unless they are thoroughly schooled in theology. Niebuhr is a slippery character with some keen insight into some things, but with a fundamental uncertainty about who our Lord really is or if he is all the Bible says he is.<\/p>\n

But his line seems so appropriate for blogging, don’t you think?<\/p>\n
