When things aren\u2019t going well with a team and the owner or general manager of the team issues a statement that includes the words, \u201cCoach so-and-so has my full support\u201d, what does that mean?<\/p>\n

It means they haven\u2019t found a replacement yet.<\/p>\n

So when an institution offers a weakly worded statement of support for one of its adherents, what does that mean? It means that the adherent can see the handwriting on the wall. \u201cNo support here\u201d, it says. And that\u2019s the end of it.<\/p>\n
